Jeep Compass leasing service launched across India

More buyers are preferring to lease new cars, instead of buying them. Compared to buying, leasing suits a certain segment of consumers more, especially to those who are on the move, or like to change cars frequently. With rise in demand for leasing options, there are now a significant number of car brands which offer leasing. The list includes the likes of Mahindra, Skoda, Hyundai, BMW, etc.

Then there are companies, which have not yet launched cars in India, but have confirmed that their cars will be on offer via lease, once they are launched. These companies are MG India (Hector) and Citroen (A5 Aircross). Today, yet another company announced to offer leasing option in India, and that is FCA India.

The company announced that leasing service will be on offer for all FCA cars sold in India. To begin with, customers can use the service in Mumbai, Delhi NCR, Hyderabad, Bangalore and Pune.

Kevin Flynn, President and Managing Director, FCA India, said: ‘This innovative partnership will enable customers to lease the award-winning Jeep Compass without having to pay for the vehicle outright and enjoy the cash flow benefits. This partnership strengthens our commitment to providing the Jeep ownership experience to our Indian customers through innovative avenues.”

FCA India-ORIX India leasing solutions will bring with it a range of benefits. This includes road tax payments, insurance and renewals, breakdown assistance, accident repairs, end-to-end maintenance and the pay-as-per-use model for a period of two to five years. Customised services ensure hassle-free and convenient solutions that are wide-ranging. (Orix is the same company which has also partnered with Skoda and Mahindra for leasing of their respective cars).

Sandeep Gambhir, MD & CEO- ORIX Auto Infrastructure Services Limited, said: “We are proud to partner with FCA India. We look forward to strengthening our leasing solutions and to providing innovative benefits to customers, enabling them to experience premium products and avail of value-adds. We hope to play an important role in meeting today’s customer expectations.”

Traditionally leasing solutions for automobiles in India has been limited to corporations’ and businesses’ executive needs. Over time though patterns are changing, and customer preferences have evolved. To address changing customer preferences, the auto leasing industry too is working on new arrangements and growing.
