The introduction of Jeep Compass did breathe life into the manufacturer’s market share in India, and continues to rake in numbers. But the numbers are not as high as before.
To sweeten the deal, and push sales higher, there’s a range of interesting offers available until November end. In all, discounts can amount to Rs 1 lakh based on dealer and city of purchase. What is standard is the exchange bonus of Rs 50,000 across the country.
Dealer specific offers point to discounts of upto Rs 25,000. There are also corporate offers of up to Rs 15,000 on Compass diesel variants (Sport, Longitude and the Limited). There’s a discount package specific to the Limited AT top end variant. The entry level Sport variant does not benefit from the offers. Jeep India’s special Black Pack edition is also enjoys benefits but not the Limited Plus variant.
In expanding its market appeal, the automaker is introducing new variants in a timely manner. While Jeep Compass is in no doubt the bestseller for the automaker here, sales have dipped in recent months.
From packing in a punch at 2.5k units per month, sales have dipped to 1-1.2k units in recent months. While Jeep did host a client preview of its awaited Compass TrailHawk a few months earlier, there’s no specified launch date revealed as yet.
A feature rich Trailhawk could retail at around Rs 25L, and rekindle burning embers. The vehicle has been spied on test runs. The diesel AT packs in a punch with improved capabilities going by expected tech specs but how much of a sales boost is offers is left to be seen.
Tata Harrier will be launched soon in India. That could further impact the sales of Jeep Compass in India. As per reports, Harrier will offer more space than Jeep Compass, and will be priced cheaper in comparison.
