Jeep Compass Trailhawk 4×4 diesel AT bookings open – Launch by July 2018

One of the best selling cars in the segment, Jeep Compass sales are averaging at about 2,500 units a month in India. To celebrate this success, Jeep will soon launch top of the line TrailHawk Edition of Compass in India. Bookings of this new Compass variant have opened. You can book yours by paying a sum of Rs 50,000 as advance payment. Deliveries are to begin by July 2018.

Jeep Compass Trailhawk ‘top of the line’ variant in the Compass range is loaded with added features and increased dimensions to ensure better off roading facilities. It measures 4,398 mm long, 2,033 mm wide and 1,529 mm tall and gets ground clearance of 216mm along with maximum water fording height of 482.6mm.

It sets itself apart from the regular variants with an new front and rear fascia, anti glare black hood decal, skid plate protection and fog lamp bezels. The TrailHawk also comes in with all terrain 225/60 R17 tyres fitted to 17” wheels finished in a two toned color scheme. It also receives Ruby Red tow hooks at the front and rear, Dark Grey accents and Silver colored ‘Trail Rated’ badge on front fenders and ‘Trailhawk’ badge on the boot lid, besides Neutral Grey mirrors.

Interior changes include all black leather seats embossed with ‘Trailhawk’ badging and red piping and red accents on dashboard. The car was spied earlier this year by Rushlane reader Mr Gole in Pune, near ARAI.

Spied in India

The biggest update on offer with the Trailhawk Compass will be the much awaited combination of diesel engine with automatic transmission. Until now, the diesel Compass is only offered with manual transmission option. With the Compass Trailhawk, Jeep India will launch diesel automatic variant in the country.

Internationally, the transmission option is a 9 speed auto, the same is seen in the spy shots. This engine delivers 171 hp and 350 Nm torque. Price is expected to start in the region of Rs 23 lakhs, ex-showroom.
