Jeep Wrangler Black Edition II and a new 170 PS petrol engine for the Renegade will be on display at Geneva Motor Show. Jeep Wrangler Black Edition II will go on sale in Europe this summer and will be seen sporting all black external features in tune with its Black theme.
With black front grille, headlight surrounds and 18” alloy wheels, the new Wrangler Black Edition II will also receive black badges, black wheel cover and Mopar fuel cap. Jeep Wrangler Black Edition II will be offered as standard with Dual Top package with soft top and three piece hard top.
Interiors will boast of black leather seats, black accents and a Uconnect infotainment system with GPS. Engine specifications include a 2.8 liter turbodiesel engine offering 200 PS peak power and 460 Nm peak torque and a 3.6 liter Pentastar V6 engine offering 284 PS power and 347 Nm torque. Both engines are mated to 5 speed automatic transmission.
A new fuel efficient engine on the Renegade has also been introduced. Renegade which is offered in four different trim levels – Sport, Longitude, Limited and Trailhawk, will be powered by a 1.4 liter MultiAir2 petrol engine. This new engine produces 170 PS peak power at 5,550 rpm and 250 Nm torque at 2,500 rpm and is mated to a 9 speed automatic transmission and Jeep Active Drive integrated traction unit.
To be offered on the Renegade from March, the engine allows for acceleration from 0 to 100 kmph in 8.8 seconds and a top speed of 196 kmph. Fuel consumption will stand at 6.9 liters per 100 km while auto emissions will be at 160 g/km.
