Johan De Nysschen as Senior Vice President for Nissan Motor Company Infiniti division effective July 1, 2012

Nissan’s premium brand Infiniti Motor Company Limited has a strong presence all over the world. To further expand its presence and take the Infiniti brand forward, Nissan has announced that it will be appointing Johan De Nysschen as Senior Vice President at Infiniti Division from July 1 2012. De Nysschen will be based at Nissan Infinity’s newly opened global headquarters in Hong Kong.

Along with Nissan Motor Executive Vice President, Andy Palmer, he will be overseeing marketing communications, business strategy and product planning. Palmer to whom Johan De Nysschen will report said, Nissan has ambitious plans taking the Infinity brand further forward and that Johan who has had a successful career in the automotive industry will be key to realizing plans.

Johan De Nysschen who will be joining Infiniti has spent 19 years with Audi. Auto experts and analysts reveal his vast experience in various sectors of the automobile industry will benefit Nissan’s Infiniti brand significantly. During his tenure with Audi De Nysschen has served in Japan, South Africa and more recently in US as President of Audi America.

Infiniti, the premium brand of Nissan Motor Co., Ltd., today announced that Johan de Nysschen will join the company. De Nysschen will be appointed as senior vice president of Nissan Motor Company in charge of the Infiniti division, and joins effective July 1, 2012.

De Nysschen, currently President of Audi of America, will report to Andy Palmer, Nissan Motor Company Executive Vice President, product planning, business strategy, marketing communications and responsible for the Infiniti division. De Nysschen will be located at Infiniti’s new global headquarters in Hong Kong, which officially opened on May 22.

“We have exciting and ambitious plans for improving the Infiniti brand including introducing new models in all markets where premium customer demand exists,” said Palmer. “Johan is a highly successful global luxury automotive executive and his leadership of Infiniti will be a key factor in realizing the potential of the Infiniti brand,” continued Palmer.

De Nysschen was with Audi for 19 years. During his tenure he served in executive positions in South Africa, Japan and most recently as President of the brand’s American operations. Prior to joining Audi, de Nysschen worked for BMW in South Africa. He holds a bachelor’s degree from the Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University, Port Elizabeth, South Africa, and an MBA from the University of Pretoria, South Africa.
