The actor and youth icon was in a QnA session with the media and thanked Yamaha for the power bike and acknowledged the great product lineup from Yamaha. John interacted with Yamaha’s maiden Mascot, which promotes the Yamaha Children Safety Program (YCSP, a first of its kind social initiative to educate and influence both parents and children about vital road safety measures). The Mascot was named through a naming contest which concluded on 27th Jan’14. Yamaha announced the naming contest winner who named the mascot ‘Zippy’. John felicitated the winner who received a year long scholarship, and other attractive prizes.
Yamaha India bike line-up includes Fazer (153cc), FZ-S (153cc), FZ (153cc), SZ-X, SZ-R & SZ-RR (153cc), YZF-R15 Version 2.0 (150cc), SS125 (123cc), YBR 125 (123cc), YBR 110 (106cc), Crux (106cc) and Ray (113cc), Ray Z (113 cc) Scooters. Its import portfolio includes VMAX (1,679cc), YZF-R1 (998cc) and FZ1 (998cc). Apart from this, Yamaha also displayed some more bikes, like the R25 Concept, which was also visited by John Abraham.
