Jonny Walker seals weekend with KTM victory in Nantmawr Quarry race

The Nantmawr Quarry event is known as a trial for the ‘Tough One’ Extreme Enduro competition which will be held in January 2013. At this event, Jonny walker did well to win ahead of experienced Graham Jarvis (Husaberg). Initially as Jonny wasn’t certain about the circuit he decided to follow veteran Jarvis around for the first few laps, but by the end of the first lap he decided he had enough and took off resolutely combating muddy and slippery conditions to pull off a spectacular victory.

Confidence was rejuvenated as new of Jarvis having bike trouble came through to him. He raced excellently and was three minutes ahead of Paul Bolton and Jarvis even after making a 15 second stop to refuel. Bolton who was closing in fast ran into problems when his tyre came off the rim and he was forced to withdraw, thereby, allowing Jonny walker to take the first place and Jarvis the second.

Alex Wigg came in a decent third at this racing event. Team manager Julian Stevens was happy with the outcome and hoped Jonny would retain this form for the Indoor World Championships to be held in Poland later.
