Bollywood actor Kalki Koechlin along with her father Joel Koechlin, has completed a journey through the Northeast of India on Royal Enfield Himalayan.
The father-daughter duo take to the roads across the states of Assam, Meghalaya and Arunachal Pradesh covering a distance of 4,000 kms. Joel Koechlin is an avid biker and photographer and the two have undertaken this journey titled Kalki’s Great Escape exclusively for Fox Life Channel.
According to the duo, travelling across three states during the journey is not only breathtakingly beautiful and exciting but totally inspiring, set to motivate others to take a similar route along with loved ones.
The journey has seen the father daughter duo enjoy beer making, navigate across a rope bridge in Tawang and even take part in an impromptu football game while singing 70s numbers with the locals. They had to tackle some dangerous mountain terrain and contend with low visibility but the Royal Enfield Himalayan stood them in good stead.
The Koechlin’s sang and danced and interacting with locals of a small village called Sangti, in Arunachal Pradesh and enjoyed some delicious local cuisine and broke away from the luxury and comforts to do something quite different from what is otherwise seen on such travel shows on TV.
The show goes on air on 17th September and will instantly appeal to bikers, photographers and food aficionados alike to undertake similar journeys and witness the sights and sounds of the exciting Northeast.
