Kawasaki KX250 and KX100, two new motocross bikes have been launched in India. Exclusive for track use and not road legal bikes, Kawasaki KX250 and KX100 will be devoid of headlamps, turn indicators and license plates and other on-board accents which are normally seen on registered road bikes.
The launch took place at a specially arranged off-road track in Lonavala, where professionals showcased their skill with the bike. The same can be seen in the images.
These two motocross bikes in India will share some on-board features. Kawasaki KX250 will receive a four stroke, single cylinder, water cooled 249cc engine. It will be seen with state of the art off roading equipment, high ground clearance, long travel suspension and 48mm Showa telescopic forks with 40 way spring preload adjustability and 22 piston compression along with 20 position rebound damping adjustability. It will also receive 270mm petal discs at the front and 240mm petal discs at the rear while engine will be mounted on an aluminum perimeter frame.
Kawasaki KX100 will be powered by a 99 cc liquid cooled, single cylinder two stroke engine. It gets 36mm inverted telescopic front forks and Uni-Trak single shock system at the rear along with a 24 way compression and 21 way rebound damping. It will also weigh less than the 105 kg KX250 at just less than 80 kgs and will appeal to motocross aspirants in the country.
Sold as CBUs, price of the new Kawasaki KX100 starts from INR 4.69 lakh while the KX250 is priced from INR 7.14 lakh, ex-showroom, New Delhi.
