Kawasaki Ninja 650 KRT edition launched in India in lime green colour

The Kawasaki Ninja 650 KRT edition is now launched in India, and will be available at dealerships from mid November 2017.


Ever since launched in India, Kawasaki Ninja 650 has been received well owing to its easy to ride ability, and sporty nuance. The newly launched Kawasaki Ninja 650 KRT edition borrows from Kawasaki Racing Team (KRT). KRT- Inspired colour and graphics package are available for select Kawasaki street models.

Kawasaki Ninja 650 KRT edition specifications: The liquid-cooled, 4-stroke Parallel Twin DOHC (8 valve) engine has a displacement of 649 cm3. Bore and Stroke: 3.0 x 60.0 mm. Compression ratio – 10.8:1. Propelled with injection(36 mm x 2) with dual throttle, it relies on Forced lubrication, semi-dry sump. complete the
Kawasaki Ninja 650 KRT edition features a digital ignition and electric start. The parallel twin engine is quick to respond, optimized for fuel efficiency, and offers strong low-mid range performance.

The 6 speed drivetrain/transmission has a primary reduction ratio of 2.095 (88/42). Gear ratios:1st 2.438 (39/16) [JPN: 2.437 (39/16)]; 2nd 1.714 (36/21); 3rd 1.333 (32/24); 4th 1.111 (30/27); 5th 0.966 (28/29) [JPN: 0.965 (28/29)], and 6th 0.852 (23/27) [JPN: 0.851 (23/27)]. Final reduction ratio is at 3.067 (46/15) [JPN: 3.066 (46/15)]. The system works on a chain drive and manual, wet multi-disc clutch.

Front brake: Dual semi-floating 300 mm petal discs; caliper: Dual piston. Rear brake: Single 220 mm petal disc, caliper: Single-piston. The front dual piston calipers, master cylinder and brake pads are new, and optimise brake touch and control.

Front suspension: 41 mm telescopic fork. Rear suspension: Horizontal Back-link with adjustable preload. The Horizontal Back-link rear suspension is progressive character. Over a link-less type suspension, it makes for sporty performance and ride comfort.

The LCD screen features a negative display adding to the modern instrument cluster. Alongwith digital speedometer and gear position indicator, display functions include: odometer, dual trip meters, remaining range, current and average fuel consumption, coolant temperature, clock and Economical Riding Indicator.

Kawasaki Ninja 650 KRT edition has an upright riding position, low seat height, and manageable power delivery, and is available in Lime Green colour. Kawasaki Ninja 650 KRT edition will be available at dealerships mid-November onward.
