Kawasaki MY 2019 Ninja 300 ABS was launched back in July 2018 at a price of Rs 2.98 lakhs, ex sh Delhi. And while Kawasaki India announced a price hike across its product range with the new FY getting underway, the company website still lists the entry level Ninja 300 ABS sports bike at its previous launch price. It is the best selling Kawasaki in India.
This bodes well considering the bike’s entry price point has welcomed a new and growing number of Kawasaki customers. Ninja 300 ABS is the brand’s volume model with the highest number of sales in the portfolio being attributed to it owing to localization that’s paved the way for a competitive price.
Wef April 1, 2019, Kawasaki India announced an up to 7 percent price increase on select model. And while competitive pricing is what the company strives towards, increasing costs of raw materials, and forex fluctuation rates has warranted an inevitable price hike.
Kawasaki Z650, which was launched at Rs 5.29 lakhs in mid October 2018, now costs Rs 5.69 lakhs, ex sh, Delhi following a price hike of 40k. Versys 1000 launched in February of this year at Rs 10.69 lakhs, now costs Rs 10.89 lakhs, following a price hike of 20k. Ninja ZX-6R was launched at an introductory price of Rs 10.49 lakhs, and is unaffected by the current price hike. MY2019 KLX140G was launched in Dec ’18 at Rs 4,06 lakhs and continues to be sold at an unchanged price. The same goes for KLX 450R which continues to be sold at a price tag of Rs 8.49 lakhs. MY 2019 Z900 was launched in October at a price of Rs 7.68 lakhs, and now costs Rs 7,69,900 at 1900 bucks more.
Back in August 2018, Kawasaki announced the price of MY Ninja H2 at Rs 34,50,000, Ninja H2 Carbon at Rs 41 lakhs, and Ninja H2R at Rs 72 lakhs. The latter saw it’s sole Indian buyer take delivery in India last month for the full year 2019. Ninja H2 now costs Rs 34.99 lakhs at 49k more, H2 Carbon at Rs 41.79 lakhs at 79k more, and Ninja H2R at Rs 75.80L, at a noticeable price hike of Rs 3.8 lakhs.
Versys X-300, Versys 650, and Ninja ZX-14R continue to be sold without a price hike. Kawasaki Ninja 400, which was earlier sold at Rs 4.69 lakhs is now listed at a price of Rs 4.99 lakhs following a 40k price hike.
