Today Kawasaki India opened pre-bookings for its 600cc inline-4 supersport, Ninja ZX-6R. Pre-bookings for the 636 will be entertained through 31st October 2018 to 30th November 2018.
Kawasaki India says – “Those keen on going on a ride of a lifetime need to confirm bokings at a dealership.” If not, you can also book one via online payment via official site. Colour choices listed are Lime Green/ Ebony meaning the Kawasaki Racing Team (KRT) kit comes into play. The listing clearly states the model on offer is a 2020 Ninja ZX-6R. It is being introduced in India via CKD route, akin to Ninja ZX-10R.
To be available in limited numbers, bookings will help gauge demand, and pre-orders will ensure timely consignment shipment for India. 2020 Ninja ZX-6R will be assembled at Kawasaki’s Chakan, Pune facility, and the supersport should be available for around Rs 10 lakh. Launch is expected in January 2019 at which time price will be revealed.
2020 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R gets power from the existing 636cc, in-line 4-cylinder engine and returns 129.7PS of max power at 13,500rpm, paired with a six-speed gearbox. The bike now meets Euro 5 norms and returns 1.3PS lower than the last-gen model to be in step with current and future cleaner emission norms.
Updates to the instrument cluster include a fuel gauge, and fuel range and eco indicator. Visible style changes include a new front cowl, revised tail section, LED twin headlamps and tail-lamps, windscreen and a new exhaust. Electronic features include KQS (Kawasaki quick shifter), KIBS (Kawasaki intelligent anti-lock braking system), and KTRC (Kawasaki traction control).
Ninja ZX-6R features front 41mm Showa SFF-BP forks and a rear monoshock. Braking is courtesy a front dual 310mm petal disc and rear 210mm disc. The bike runs Bridgestone Battlax Hypersport S22 tyres.
