Kawasaki supercharged tourer teased – To take on next gen Hayabusa? (Video)

EICMA, also known as the Milan Motorcycle Show, will take place in November 2017.

Kawasaki has dropped a teaser of its third supercharged offering which is scheduled to be unveiled at the EICMA 2017 in Milan next month. Unlike the previous two supercharged models which target the performance motorcycle category, the upcoming one will cater to the touring market.

Without revealing much about the tourer, the Japanese manufacturer has stated that it will offer “balanced supercharger technology to create even greater low to mid-range pulling power.”

The engine displacement is also under wraps as of now but we the powertrain to be loosely based on that of the Ninja H2 but with different state of tune. If our guess is right, the Kawasaki supercharged tourer would be replacing the Ninja ZX-14R to take on its arch nemesis, the Hayabusa. However, it’s also possible that Kawasaki may surprise us with a smaller displacement sports touring offering.

The company also added that superior fuel economy while retaining the ‘exhilaration’ of forced induction performance.
