Monthly performance data shows lower December volumes compared with the prior year. Global December 2025 sales reached 236,672 units, compared with 240,455 units in December 2024. This change reflects a 2 percent year-on-year decline. Seasonal demand patterns remained consistent across regions.

Korean market volumes in December were recorded at 44,577 units, compared with 46,070 units a year earlier. This reflects a 3 percent decline. Overseas December volumes reached 191,624 units, compared with 193,769 units in December 2024. Overseas markets recorded a 1 percent year-on-year reduction.

Three SUV Nameplates Form a Major Share of Total Sales

Special purpose vehicle volumes are reported separately within overall sales disclosures. SPV sales during 2025 reached 5,789 units, compared with 6,122 units in 2024. This reflects a 5 percent year-on-year decline. December SPV volumes stood at 471 units, compared with 616 units a year earlier.

Model-level demand is led by sport utility vehicles across global markets. Sportage recorded global sales of 569,688 units during 2025. Seltos followed with 299,766 units. Sorento registered 264,673 units. These three models together formed a significant share of Kia’s worldwide volume.

Product actions during the year include several additions across body styles. Kia EV3 entered the lineup as an electric vehicle. K4 sedan expanded the passenger car range. Kia Sets Global Sales Target of 3.35 Million Units for 2026

Regional sales strategies are shaped by market-specific factors, including tariff-related impacts. United States operations prioritised hybrid expansion in response to local demand conditions. European markets focused on electric vehicle volume growth, reflecting regulatory structures and consumer adoption patterns.

Forward planning sets global sales targets for 2026 at 3,350,000 units. Overseas markets are targeted at 2,775,000 units, while Korea is planned at 565,000 units. Special purpose vehicle volumes are targeted at 10,000 units. Production increases are planned for Telluride and Seltos, alongside continued attention to global supply chain sustainability.
