Kia Seltos bookings started in India yesterday, 16th July 2019. Today, Kia India has revealed that on the first day itself, the company has received 6,046 bookings. This is a new record not only for Kia, but also for Indian auto industry. Never before has a car in this segment received such huge confirmed booking numbers on the first day.
The Kia site received around two lakh hits on 16th, from Kia online booking site alone is unprecedented, with 1,628 booking coming in just one day. Remaining bookings were made at dealerships / sales outlets. Booking amount is Rs 25,000.

The Kia Seltos will be available in two trims – Tech Line and GT Line – and will get features such as 8.0 heads-up-display, 10.25 HD touchscreen, a hi-tech sound mood lamp, a rear shade curtain, 360 degree surround view monitor, blind spot monitoring, world’s first connect air-purifier, highly advanced proprietary UVO connect system for seamless and wireless communication with the car, 8-Speaker Bose Hi-Fi sound system and more.
Features also include voice recognition, electrically adjustable mirrors, telescopic steering adjust, an electric sunroof. In terms of safety, the new Kia Seltos will receive ABS and EBD as standard along with 2-6 airbags depending on variant, rains sensing wipers, brake assist, hill assist, front parking sensors, multi drive modes and blind view monitor.
It also gets smart push engine start stop feature, autonomous braking, pedestrian detection and lane keeping assist. The list of safety features extends to rear cross traffic assist and blind spot monitoring along with navigation based adaptive cruise control. Total of 8 trims are on offer – 5 diesel, 3 petrol. 4 transmission options are on offer.
Once launched, Kia Seltos could be priced between Rs.10-16 lakhs, a highly competitive price as compared to its rivals in its segment. It will be sold via 265 touch points spread over 160 cities in the country. Rivals include Hyundai Creta, MG Hector, Tata Harrier, Jeep Compass.
