Kia Seltos dealer debut across India sees huge response – Video

Prior to its launch, Kia Seltos is being showcased at company dealerships. The company is also scheduling test drives for it’s solo offering in India. And Kia Seltos’ first showing to audiences is turning out to be quite a packed house. Such high volume footfalls are unprecedented, and reflect a healthy consumer interest. As it stands, initial customer response has been ‘overwhelming’.

Seltos bookings on day 1 stood at 6,046 bookings. The company is yet to release its current booking count. Bookings are being accepted for Rs 25k. Kia Motors India has planned a line-up of at least 5 vehicles by 2021. To stay on track, the company plans to launch a vehicle every six to nine months.

Kia Seltos is available in diesel and petrol variants in automatic and manual options, alongwith 1.4 Turbo GDI with 7DCT transmission. The latter is a segment first offering. From the word go, all Kia Seltos variants will be BSVI compliant. Kia Seltos’ Smartstream engine is a 3rd-gen BSVI powertrain is tuned for efficiency and performance. A range of segment first features is helping create quite the buzz around Kia Seltos. The vehicle features heads-up-display (HUD), a convenient safety feature. Sound mood lamp lighting switches as per driver mood.

A rear shade curtain keeps rays out, and surround view monitor handles blind spots. Kia has introduced a concierge service on UVO app, and POI push to car. The vehicle has an air purifier on and off functionality, and dedicated SOS, RSA and UVO buttons are set on the IRVM. Depending on the situation, assistance services are alerted.

To ensure maximum reach from the word go, 265 touch points across 160 cities will be operated by authorized Kia dealer partners. Kia Link App which will keep customers updated regarding with service reminders. Customers can use the app to make an appointment. The Dealer Management System (DMS) is an interactive interface with service remarks for cars being serviced.

The company is confident that Kia Seltos will be a game-changer in its segment.
