Ahead of its launch in India next month, Kia Seltos has gone on sale in South Korea. Offered in 1.6 liter petrol and 1.6 liter diesel engine options, price of Seltos starts from Rs 11.28 lakh for the base petrol model, and goes all the way to Rs 15.41 lakh for the top diesel variant.
Both petrol and diesel engine options of Seltos are offered with 7 speed DCT gearbox. No other transmission option is on offer. Where drive system is concerned, both engine options can be chose with either 2WD or with 4WD. Kerb weight of Kia Seltos ranges from 1,345 kgs to 1,510 kgs.

Where India is concerned, Kia Seltos appears to have made the right connect with customers, as bookings have crossed 6k on the first day itself. If the momentum continues, Kia Seltos could soon overtake MG Hector in terms of confirmed bookings. MG Hector has also received tremendous response from customers, prompting MG to temporarily close bookings after orders reached 21k.

Some of the key smart features include live car tracking, find my car, live traffic information, car location sharing, auto collision notification, stolen vehicle tracking, stolen vehicle immobilization, geo fencing, vehicle health report, maintenance alert, remote engine start/stop, remote AC control, AI voice command, driving behaviour and in car air quality monitoring.
Other key features on-board Seltos include a large 10.25-inch HD touchscreen, head-up display, blind spot monitoring, 360° surround view monitor, rear shade curtain, telescopic steering adjust, electrically adjustable ORVMs, electric sunroof, hi-tech sound mood lamp and 8-Speaker Bose Hi-Fi sound system. Safety features include 6 airbags, ABS with EBD, front parking sensors, rain sensing wipers, hill assist, brake assist, and traction modes of Mud, Snow/Wet and Sand.
Engine options for Seltos include a 1.5 litre petrol, 1.5 litre diesel and 1.4 litre turbo petrol. Seltos is expected to be launched at a competitive price of Rs 10-16 lakh in India. It will take on rivals such as Hyundai Creta, MG Hector, Tata Harrier, and Jeep Compass.
