Already launched in South Korea, Kia Seltos will launch on 22nd August in India. Ahead of that, prices of the Seltos SUV have been reportedly leaked. The leaked prices of Seltos were shared by YouTube channel Car News By Rishabh Arora. Please note that these prices are not confirmed by Kia India. Official prices of Kia Seltos will be revealed on 22nd Aug.
As per the leaked pricing, which was reportedly shared at an exclusive dealer only meet, base petrol 1.5 variant will cost Rs 9.99 lakhs while base petrol 1.4 variant will cost Rs 12.99 lakh. Diesel 1.5 base variant will cost Rs 11.39 lakhs.
Automatic IVT variant of Kia Seltos 1.5 petrol will cost Rs 12.99 lakh, DCT petrol 1.4 will cost Rs 14.99 lakhs, 6AT diesel 1.5 base will cost Rs 13.29 lakhs and top will cost Rs 14.99 lakhs. All prices are ex-sh, India. Below is the leaked price list of Kia Seltos.

If these prices are correct, they are very aggressive. As per the above prices, Kia Seltos will be sold at a similar price to Hyundai Creta. Hyundai Creta petrol manual ranges from Rs 10 lakh to Rs 14.18 lakh. Automatic petrol Creta is priced at Rs 13.77 lakh. Diesel manual Creta is Rs 10 lakh to Rs 15.66 lakhs while automatic Diesel Creta is Rs 13.37 lakh to Rs 15.22 lakh. All prices ex-sh, India. Creta has BS4 engines.
All three engines powering Seltos will be BS-VI compliant from day one. The 1.5 litre petrol engine generates 115 hp and 144 Nm and is mated to a 6-speed manual or CVT automatic transmission. Seltos 1.5 Petrol-MT claimed fuel efficiency is 16.4 kmpl whereas 1.5 Petrol-CVT offers 16.3 kmpl. The second petrol engine is a 1.4 litre turbo GDI unit that makes 140 hp and 242 Nm.
Seltos 1.4 Petrol-MT has claimed mileage of 16.1 kmpl, whereas 1.4 Petrol-DCT offers 16.2 kmpl. The 1.5 litre diesel unit makes 115 hp and 250 Nm and comes with 6-speed manual and torque convertor automatic gearbox. Seltos diesel manual has the highest fuel efficiency of 20.8 kmpl whereas its automatic variant is second best at 17.8 kmpl.
Kia Seltos is expected to turn up the heat on rivals such as MG Hector, Hyundai Creta, Nissan Kicks, Tata Harrier, Mahindra XUV500 and Renault Captur.
