Soon to enter the highly competitive SUV space, the Kia Seltos is the company’s first production in the country. It boasts of attractive exteriors, well appointed interiors and a choice of petrol and diesel engine options while prices are expected to be in the Rs.10-16 lakh range.
Earlier this month, Kia showcased the Seltos at a gala event in Delhi. At the event, three Kia Seltos were on display. One was an Orange with White roof, White with Black roof and a monotone red colour.

The first promotional video teaser of Kia Seltos, featuring Bollywood actor Tiger Shroff has also been released. Official bookings are set to commence from July. Featuring a sporty design, Kia Seltos is bigger in size than the Hyundai Creta, but smaller than Tata Harrier.
Exterior features of Seltos include LED headlights, LED DRLs, LED tail lights, tiger nose inspired front design, aggressive side stance with sloping roof, side skirts, machine cut alloys with red brake calipers, etc.
It gets leather seats and wood inserts all around, along with brushed aluminium accents on doors and around AC vents. It gets 10.25” horizontal touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, all digital instrument panel, front parking sensors and a 360 degree rear parking camera. It will also receive a Bose sound system which will instantly appeal to its younger and more adventurous target group.
Kia Seltos comes with power adjustable driver seat, ventilated seats and a sunroof. Its state of the art connected car technology is called UVO Connect and offers 37 features in 5 categories of Navigation, Safety and Security, Vehicle Management, Remote Control and Convenience. Kia Motors is offering this software free for all Seltos buyers for the first three years.
Powering the Kia Seltos are two petrol and 1 diesel engine option. Standard petrol variant gets 1.5 liter 4 cyl generating 115 hp and 144 Nm via CVT / 6 MT. Then there is the GT Line variant, it gets a 1.4 liter turbo 4 cyl petrol engine generating 140 hp and 242 Nm via 6 MT / 7 DCT. Diesel unit is a 1.5 liter unit generating 115 hp and 250 Nm via 6 MT.
