Kia Sonet Variants Wise Features – What you get in each of the 6 trims

Kia Sonet will be available in two petrol and two diesel engine options – Launch next month

Ahead of its launch in Sep, important details about the new Kia Sonet SUV has been leaked. Last week, we shared the tech specs of Sonet, which revealed engine options, transmission options as per variants as well as dimension. Now we have leaked documents which clearly reveal variant-wise features of the Sonet.

Kia Sonet will be offered in two trims of Tech Line and GT Line. In Tech Line, variants on offer are HTE, HTK, HTK+, HTX, HTX+. In the GT Line, there is only one variant on offer, which is the GTX+. Below are the Sonet variants wise features for Standard Pack as well as the Plus Pack.

Kia Sonet HTE Features – Base Variant

The Kia Sonet HTE with Standard Pack will be seen with a tiger nose front grille, halogen headlamps, heartbeat tail lamps and a tube type antenna. It gets muscular front and rear skid plates, 15 inch steel wheels, wheel covers and a rear central reflector. The interiors will be done up in a black colour scheme with premium fabric upholstery on seats and roof lining along with silver garnish on the AC vents. The Sonet HTE gets an 8.88 cm (3.5 inches) mono colour instrument cluster, front and rear USB charging ports and electrically adjustable ORVMs, electric power steering with tilt adjustment, Manual AC, Front Adjustable Headrest, Eco Coating, Front Door Power Windows, Center Locking.

Safety features include ABS, EBD, rear parking sensors, dual airbags and emergency stop system. Engine options on offer with Sonet HTE variant are 1.2 liter petrol (83 PS / 115 Nm) with 5 MT and 1.5 liter diesel (100 PS / 240 Nm) with 6 MT.

Kia Sonet HTK Features

The Standard Pack on the Kia Sonet HTK is seen with all the features offered on the HTE trim. However, in this pack, semi leatherette seating is offered with contrasting stitching accents, seat pockets for added storage and sunglass holders. Infotainment is via a 9.65 cm (3.8 inches), 2DIN audio system with 4 speakers, steering mounted controls and Bluetooth UVO Lite.

It gets 16 inch metallic silver wheels. Where safety is concerned, this variant gets height adjustable driver’s seat, keyless entry, rear door power windows and follow me home headlamps. Sonet HTK variant is offered with 1.2 liter petrol (83 PS / 115 Nm) 5 MT and and 1.5 liter diesel (100 PS / 240 Nm) 6 MT.

Kia Sonet HTK+ Features

In addition to the features offered in HTK, the Sonet HTK+ is offered with projector fog lamps, auto headlamps, rear silver skid plates, floating type roof rails, shark fin antenna, ORVM with LED turn indicators, chrome radiator grille, leather wrapped gear knob for AT / DCT options. It gets Auto AC, One Touch up/down driver window with anti-pinch function, rear defogger, rear parcel shelf. 20.32 cms (8 inches) touchscreen with ARKAMYS system, Android Auto, Apple Carplay, wireless phone projection, 2 tweeters, rear view camera with guidelines.

Safety features added to this trim are ESC, HAC, VSM, Brake Assist. Multi Drive modes and Traction control is offered with 7DCT. 3 Engine and transmission options on offer with Sonet HTK+ are 1.2 liter petrol (83 PS / 115 Nm) 5 MT, 1.0 liter petrol (120 PS / 172 Nm) iMT or 7DCT, 1.5 liter diesel (100 PS / 240 Nm) 6 MT or 6 AT.

Kia Sonet HTX Features

Kia Sonet HTX receives all the above features along with some added exterior and interior updates. The exteriors get Crown Jewel LED headlamps, projector fog lamps, Heart Beat LED DRLs with turn indicators and Heart Beat tail lamps. This variant is also seen with an electric sunroof, silver skid plates in the front and a rear bumper with a dual muffler design. Floating type roof rails, a shark fin antenna, a chrome finished radiator grille and chrome door handles will also be a part of its Standard Pack features.

Interiors will be finished in a black and beige colour scheme with seats done up in semi leatherette with contrasting stitching accents with the same finish continuing to the D Cut steering wheel and gear knobs. Infotainment is via a 20.32 cm (8 inches) touchscreen with ARKMAYS tuning supporting both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto and wireless phone projection.

Where safety is concerned, the Kia Sonet HTX gets remote engine start, auto folding ORVMs and rear defogger. Engine options that can be had with Sonet HTX includes 1.0 liter petrol (120 PS / 172 Nm) iMT and 1.5 liter diesel (100 PS / 240 Nm) 6 MT.

Kia Sonet HTX+ Features

Kia Motors is offering a Plus Pack on the Sonet HTX+ variant. In addition to the above features, you also get tyre pressure monitoring, 16 inch alloys with silver caps, dual tone interiors with leather seats and silver stitching, LED sound mood lights, leather wrapped door trims, rear wiper and washer, full size driver seat back pocket, 26.03 cms (10.25 inches) touchscreen infotainment system with Navigation, UVO connected car features and OTA map updates.

It also gets Bose premium 7 speaker music system, ventilated driver and front passenger seats, smart pure air purifier with virus protection, 10.67 cms (4.2 inches) multi info display instrument cluster, AI voice commands via ‘Hello Kia‘, auto antiglare inside rear view mirror with UVO controls, dual tone roof optional. Engine options are same as the HTX, that is 1.0 liter petrol (120 PS / 172 Nm) iMT and 1.5 liter diesel (100 PS / 240 Nm) 6 MT.

This variant gets a Kia signature tiger nose front grille, sporty red accents on the outside with GT Line badging, 16 inch crystal cut dual tone alloy wheels with red finished wheel caps and red brake calipers enhancing its sporty appeal. You also get dual tone roof option with this variant.

On the inside you get all black colour scheme with leatherette seating, roof lining and high gloss black coloured AC vents. Infotainment is via a 26.03cm HD touchscreen UVO connected system with a BOSE premium 7 speaker system, smartwatch connectivity, a coloured instrument cluster, AI voice recognition ‘Hello Kia’ wake up system and smartwatch connectivity. Smart key with push button start stop, fully automatic AC, cruise control, remote engine start, electric auto folding ORVMs, all door power windows, front and rear adjustable headrest, rear center arm rest, multi drive modes, traction control, wireless phone charger, air purifier with virus protection.

It gets electric power steering, height adjustable driver seat, rear view camera with guidelines, steering mounted controls, smart key push button start and follow me home headlamps. Standard safety equipment with 6 airbags, ABS, EBD, brake assist, ISOFIX child anchor, disc brakes in front, emergency stop signal, front and rear parking sensors and tyre pressure monitoring are also offered with this variant. Engine options on offer with Sonet GTX+ variant are 1.0 liter petrol (120 PS / 172 Nm) iMT or 7DCT, 1.5 liter diesel (100 PS / 240 Nm) 6 MT or 6 AT.
