As seen in the teasers, Kia Syros gets a new 2-spoke steering wheel with offset logo, something very similar to new K4 sedan
India’s SUV segment is currently ruled by Hyundai with Creta out-selling everything in its stride. Hyundai’s sister brand, Kia, on the other hand, is gearing up to introduce a new SUV in India. One that Indian audience has never seen before with a unique take on design and appearance, even for a Kia.
The company calls it Syros and it features Kia’s futuristic design journey. Kia Syros is set to launch soon. Ahead of launch, Kia has just teased the new Syros’ interiors, giving us a glimpse of Kia’s futuristic new Syros. Let’s take a look.
Kia Syros Interiors Teased
While Kia Syros’ exterior silhouette reminds us a lot of Hyundai Casper, there seems to be a major difference in size. For context, Hyundai Casper is 3.6m long vehicle, which is smaller than Santro (discontinued). Kia Syros, however, seems to be a larger vehicle and it gets significantly better features and creature comforts.
Currently, it is slightly unknown which size bracket Syros will adhere to. Kia’s new teasers confirm that Syros will break covers on December 19th, 2024. The company is pitching it as ‘Future Of SUVs’ and promises a new species to evolve with Syros. Of SUVs, we reckon.
Syros also has an air of sophistication, as seen in the recent teaser. For starters, this teaser confirms that Syros will get a panoramic sunroof, which was spied in test mules. Start button seems to be on the centre console and is accompanied by parking assistance buttons including a 360-degree camera view.
Gear selector looks fancy and premium at the same time. There’s a single wireless charging pad along with modern Type-C ports. We can see ambient lighting inside for a luxury feel. Steering wheel is of two-spoke type and is all new for India and features an offset logo, similar to what we saw in new K4.
What to expect?
Spy shots suggest that Kia Syros will come with twin 10.2-inch displays and a host of features. Ventilated seats could be present at the front and back. Rear AC vents will be offered and there might be a wireless charging pad below. Kia will load it to the brim with features and creature comforts to outshine its segment.
Exterior design elements are just as unique as the teased interiors. We get vertically arranged LED headlights with integrated LED DRLs, massive rear LED tail light signature, brake lights in rear bumper, flush door handles, geometric pattern alloy wheels and more. Powertrain details are still under wrap and there is a good probability of it being an EV as well as an ICE vehicle.
