With a global premiere date set on December 19th, 2024, Kia Syros will feature a unique design language unlike any other sold in India
Among India’s leading premium vehicle manufacturers, Kia, is poised to unveil the Syros SUV on December 19th, 2024. This will be the grand unveil of Syros SUV, which takes a unique approach to design and appearance. Kia is teasing the vehicle ahead of its global premier and the 5th teaser is just out, showing interesting new details.
New Kia Syros Teaser No 5
Kia Syros is a fresh idea for an SUV for the company. It looks like nothing else sold in Indian market. It bears a few interior design elements that we have seen with recent Kia vehicles like EV3 and K4. From the side, it looks a lot like Hyundai’s small CUV, Casper. However, Kia Syros is believed to be a larger vehicle than Casper.
Speaking of size, there is not a lot of information out there to dive in. This could be a bridge between Kia Sonet and Seltos SUVs that fall in sub 4m SUV and compact SUV segments respectively. As seen in the teaser, Kia Syros will feature a unique design language with a wild approach that stands out.
The front fascia gets a high-set bonnet for an imposing look along with vertically stacked LED headlights along with large LED DRLs. The bumper gets silver elements for a faux skid plate and a radar module for ADAS. Other notable elements at the front include an upright windshield along with an upper and lower grill, suggesting it could be an ICE vehicle.
At the sides, we can get up to 17-inch alloy wheels with a geometric design, tall roof rails, flush door handles, chunky B Pillars and black body claddings. Speaking of body claddings, they are squarish in shape, while actual wheel wells are round. There’s a large quarter glass at the rear for increased visibility.
Interesting design elements
At the rear, we can see a flat-ish appeal with LED vertical tail light signatures. Actual brake lights are much lower down in the bumpers, though. There’s a dual-pane panoramic glass roof that SUV buyers are very fond of. On the inside, we can expect Kia Syros to be a feature-loaded vehicle, packed to the brim with technology and creature comforts.
Dual 10.2-inch screens (one for infotainment and the other for instrumentation), wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, front and rear ventilated seats, powered driver’s seat, dual-zone climate control, premium audio system, ambient lighting and rear AC vents are some of the expected features of Syros.
Safety-wise, we can expect Kia Syros to get 6 airbags and Level-2 ADAS suite, similar to the one seen on Seltos. Under the bonnet, powertrain details are still not confirmed. Considering there were 2 open grills on Syros, it looks like it is an ICE vehicle. More details will be revealed in the future.
