Kia Telluride Concept makes video debut – 2016 NAIAS
Kia Telluride SUV Concept has been designed by Kia Design Center America. It measures 1,800 mm in height, 2,029 mm in width and 5,001 mm in length. It sits on 22 inch five spoke wheels fitted with 275/45 tyres and has front and rear swing doors that open full 90 degrees in opposing directions.
Powering the Kia Telluride SUV Concept is a direct injection 3.5 liter V6 engine capable of 270 bhp peak power mated to a 130 bhp electric motor. Sending power to all four wheels, the engines claim fuel figure of 7.8 l / 100 kms (12.82 kmpl).
Interiors feature three rows of seating with first row and second row with four single captain seats while third row being a folding bench. Middle row and third row seats fold down flat, giving a huge storage space.
Each of the captain seats are fitted with sensors to gauge passengers vital information which is then relayed onto a screed on interior door panel and synchronized with Light Emitted Rejuvenation System. This system utilizes an LED panel situated just below the panoramic sun roof which considerably treats jet lag in passengers and enhances energy levels.
Showcased at Detroit Motor Show, Kia Telluride SUV Concept will not be going into production but something similar based on the concept could enter production in the future.
