Kinetic Green Energy and Power Solutions Limited have launched the new Safar Star for last mile deliveries priced at Rs.2.20 lakhs. This is a mid speed electric three wheeler and the LCV is claimed to have a payload capacity of upto 400 kgs and is on sale at over 150 company dealerships across the country.
Kinetic Safar Star is powered by a 48V lithium-ion battery pack with 150 Ah power and can run at a top speed of 40 kmph. It has a range of 130 kms on a single charge. The engine gets mated to a 2 speed gearbox and comes in with regenerative braking system and front suspension with hydraulic damper.
It also has a swappable battery option. The vehicle and battery are offered with a 3 year warranty and is ideally suited for transportation of goods due to its strong steel body, CED coated all weatherproof paint and long life tubular chassis. It is emission and noise free and highly economical, making it suitable for last mile delivery even in crowded city road conditions.
Ms Sulajja Firodia Motwani, Founder and CEO, Kinetic Green Energy and Power Solutions Ltd confirms that this new Safar Star offers a lower cost of just Rs.0.50 paise per km as against the Rs.3 per km offered high higher polluting 3 wheeler diesel powered vehicles.
Kinetic Safar Star is priced at Rs.2.20 lakhs and qualifies for the FAME II subsidy offered by the Government of India. The vehicle is on sale via 150 Kinetic Green dealerships and suited for last mile delivery for e-commerce companies, delivery of FMCG goods from wholesale to retail stores and for door to door waste collection purposes.
Apart for this Safar Star launched for transportation of goods, Kinetic Green has also introduced the Safar electric three wheeler for commuters for which the company has signed an MoU with the MahaMetro to provide last mile connectivity to commuters. Kinetic Safar is India’s first ARAI approved electric three wheeler offering affordable rides at Rs 10 per ride to commuters of MahaMetro.
