KTM Duke 125 and RC 125 best selling KTM in India – June 2019 sales

Over the last few months, KTM India has been registering double digit increase in sales. The reason – launch of Duke 125 in Nov 2018. And now, with the launch of RC 125 in June 2019, sales of KTM India are expected to increase even further.

KTM India sales for June 2019 have seen an increase of 19.14 percent to 4,924 units over sales of 4,133 units in June 2018. The 125 cc series from KTM, which include Duke 125 and the RC 125, registered sales of 2,108 units in June 2019. In May 2019, when the production of RC 125 had already started, the duo’s sales total was 2,228 units.

KTM 200 (Duke + RC) sales dipped 33.18 percent in June 2019 to 1,891 units as compared to 2,830 units sold in June 2018. Sales in June 2019 were also significantly lower than sales of 2,246 units sold in May 2019.

KTM India sales

KTM 250 and 390 also saw significantly lower sales in June 2019 as compared to sales in the same month of the previous year. Sales of the KTM 250 which stood at 601 units in June 2018 went down to 570 units in June 2019 while sales in May 2019 were at 681 units. Sales of the KTM 390 (RC + Duke) fell 49.43 percent over the period June 2018 and June 2019 from 702 units sold in June 2018 to just 355 units in the past month.

KTM currently retails 7 motorcycles in India and is a leader in the performance motorcycle segment. KTM bike prices in India start at Rs 1.25 lakhs for KTM 125 Duke, which is the cheapest model while the most expensive KTM 390 Duke priced at Rs. 2.48 lakhs.

Duke 200 is priced from Rs.1.52 lakhs and Duke 250 is priced at Rs.1.81 lakhs, while the KTM RC 200 is priced at Rs.1.79 lakhs and the RC 390 carries a price tag of Rs.2.44 lakhs onwards.

KTM RC 125 was the latest bike to be launched in India in June 2019 priced at Rs.1.47 lakhs. Deliveries have begun across all dealerships in the country and it is powered by a 124cc, single cylinder, liquid cooled engine offering 14.3 bhp power and 12 Nm torque mated to a 6 speed gearbox.

New KTM RC 125 sports WP USD forks in the front and monoshock at the rear while braking is via Bybre 300mm disc in the front and 230mm disc at the rear. The bike is offered with single channel ABS as a standard feature. The new KTM RC 125 rivals the Yamaha YZF-R15 V3.
