KTM MotoGP sportsbikes are up for sale – Price Rs 2 crore

It’s not every day that a motorcycle maker casually puts up its MotoGP race machines up for sale. So, if you are a motorcycle enthusiast with 250,000 euros (around Rs 2 crore) lying around, and also have the riding skills to back it up, this is a once in a lifetime opportunity!

KTM Factory Racing’s official social media handles has posted that a pair of KTM RC16 MotoGP bikes which competed in the recently concluded 2018 world championship is up for sale.

The steep price not only gives you ownership of an extremely exclusive high performance motorcycle but it also offers the buyer the privilege of being a member of the team over a weekend. This means he/she gets paddock access, pit tour, and one-on-one with KTM’s MotoGP rider duo Pol Espargaro and Johann Zarco (who will race for KTM in 2019 MotoGP championship).

That’s not all, the price also includes Pol’s race kit complete with a signed helmet. The two customers also get full access to the highly entertaining Red Bull Energy Station over a MotoGP weekend of their choice.

Being a MotoGP race machine, the specifications sheet of the KTM RC16 is a closely guarded secret but if you are a prospective buyer, we suggest you to write to them via rc16@ktm.com. Who knows, the Austrian team may let you in on the secret after you make your deposit and sign an NDA.

KTM Factory Racing started its latest MotoGP campaign in 2017 and it has been a steep learning curve ever since. The outfit ended the 2018 season on a positive note with Pol claiming his maiden podium finish at the drama filled Valencia GP.

Needless to say, the KTM RC16 is not road legal and the owners can only unleash its potential on a race track. The two examples are probably going to spend the rest of their lifetime adorning the garage of two elite collectors, but even then, what a collection the RC16 would be!
