KTM RC 125 was launched last week and now many dealerships have started delivering it to customers. The company hopes that RC 125 would do just as good as 125 Duke that has become the bestselling KTM in the country.

KTM probably wants to put maximum number of these bikes on the streets in the shortest possible time, so that more people could see it in action in the real world and catch a glimpse of its gorgeous, sporty design.

At Rs 1.47 lakh, RC 125 is the most affordable fully-faired KTM in the country. With its contrasting theme of black and orange, RC 125 will be difficult to miss on the streets. The black-orange theme can be seen on the wheels, fairing, tank, and seat.

Its aerodynamic design and aggressive features will turn heads wherever it goes. KTM RC 125 comes with the promise of superior performance and handling. It is targeted at folks who want the MotoGP experience at an affordable price.

KTM RC 125 borrows some of its features and equipment from its larger siblings, RC 200 and RC 390. For example, the bike utilizes trellis frame, which is the same as that of its siblings. Brake system has been borrowed from 125 Duke, featuring disc brakes at both ends.

Front wheel has 300 mm disc whereas rear wheel comes with 230 mm disc. Single-channel ABS is offered as standard. Suspension system comprises 43 mm USD front forks and an adjustable monoshock unit at the rear. The bike runs on 17-inch alloy wheels shod with 110/70-R17 front and 150/60-R17 rear tubeless tyres.

Some of the key features include clip-on handlebar, LED DRLs, dual-projector headlamp, fully digital instrument console and underbelly exhaust. RC 125 engine is the same as 125 Duke, a 124cc, single cylinder, liquid cooled unit that generates max power of 14.3 bhp @ 9,250 rpm and max torque of 12 Nm @ 8,000 rpm. Engine is mated to a 6-speed transmission and comes integrated with wet multi-disc, mechanically actuated clutch.

KTM RC 125 is up against rivals such as Yamaha R15 V3. It will be interesting to see how their sales numbers play in the coming months.
