KTM Duke RC390 will offer 43 bhp, and 35 Nm max torque, and is heavier than the 390. The KTM RC390 will be built by Bajaj Auto, at Chakan, Pune. and will be availble at price just above Duke 390. Duke 390 created quite a ripple in the superbike segment here thanks to it’s unmatched price tag of Rs 1.8 lakh at the time of launch.
As is KTM’s modus operandi here, the bike produced at Bajaj Auto’s Chakan plant will be exported too. KTM will first bring a RC to India by 2014. KTM RC200 and RC390 are expected to be shown at the Auto Expo 2014 this week.
Under the supersport category on KTM India’s website, it says RC 125 Not available in India, RC 200 Coming soon to India, RC 390 Coming soon to India, and 1190 RC8 R EU Not available in India.
