KTM Superduke 1290 in a tug of war with LaFerrari – Video

The mere mention of KTM Superduke 1290 and LaFerrari in a single sentence has what it takes to go viral. If you add the tug-of-war and video to the equation, you get a content that is absolutely unmissable.

Two highly acclaimed and super aggressive machines burning rubber and screaming loud in a single frame while battling against each other is a visual delight for a petrolhead.

While the end result is not surprising (of course the Duke with lesser traction, power/torque, and weight is gonna lose), it was quite surprising that the litre-class naked superbike made the Italian hypercar sweat for victory.

To put this tug-of-war into perspective, the LaFerrari is powered by a 6.3-litre naturally aspirated engine pushing out 800 PS and 700 Nm of torque. An F1 style HY-KERS electric motor adds another 163 PS and 330 Nm of torque. The combined output stands at 936 PS and over 900 Nm of torque. In comparison, the Superduke 1290’s 2-cylinder liquid-cooled engine manages to pump out around 180 PS and 125.2 Nm of torque.

Of course, the KTM lost the war.

The guys who composed this video prepped for the battle by adding a tow hook on the LaFerrari and an attachment on Duke’s chassis.
