Lamborghini Aventador SV Roadster, the first series produced open top model under the SV banner, has been unveiled at ‘The Quail’ motorsport gathering in Monterey, USA or Pebble Beach, as it is famously known as. The stylish convertible supercar carries a price tag of USD 530,075 (around INR 3.45 cr).
Like the Super Veloce Coupe sibling, Roadster puts out an additional 50 PS, taking the tally to 750 PS, hence the suffix LP 750-4. The magnificent 6.5-litre naturally aspirated V12 petrol motor is paired to a 7-speed ISR (Independent Shifting Rod) transmission with paddle shifters. The power is dispersed to all the four wheels via a Haldex all-wheel drive system.
In addition to additional power output, Aventador LP 750-4 SV Roadster is also lighter than the regular Roadster by a good 50 kg, resulting in an impressive power-to-weight ratio of 2.1 kg per hp. So, acceleration from rest to ton takes place in just 2.9 seconds (0.1 seconds slower than SV Coupe). Top speed stands at 350 kmph.
The car has a top speed of 350 kmph and can accelerate from 0-100 kmph in just 2.9 seconds.Visual differences come in the form of meaner looking bumper air intakes, trademark SV decals just behind the side air intake pods, exclusive alloy wheel design, aggressive rear diffuser, two-piece carbon fibre roof and a massive carbon fibre spoiler. Interior is trimmed in carbon fibre, leather and Alcantara with red and black color theme.
Lamborghini will commence deliveries of Avendator LP 750-4 SV Roadster from early 2016. Only 500 units will be built.
