Lamborghini Huracan Spyder RWD debuts at 2016 LA Auto Show

Lamborghini Huracan Spyder real wheel drive variant generates less power than the standard Huracan spyder.

The Lamborghini Huracan Spyder convertible supercar got even more fun to drive with a new RWD variant, which made debut a few hours ago at the 2016 LA Auto Show.

The streamlined supercar features a lightweight soft roof which can be deployed in a matter of 17 seconds at speeds below 50 kmph. With the roof open, the scintillating note of the naturally aspirated 5.2-litre V10 engine becomes all the more audible to the occupants.

Unlike the regular Huracan Spyder which dishes out 610 PS, this one generates 580 PS. A 7-speed dual-clutch transmission transfers power to the rear wheels.

The soft top Spyder does 0-100 in 3.6 seconds and can hit 200 kmph mark from stand-still in under 12 seconds. Top whack stands at an impressive 319 kmph. Lamborghini claims a combined fuel efficiency of 8.3 kmpl.

The Hurcan Spyder LP 580-2 is equipped with ANIMA (Adaptive Network Intelligent MAnagement) with three drive settings – Strada, Sport and Corsa, and is underpinned by an hybrid aluminium-carbon structure which maintains high torsional rigidity despite losing roof.

With India being one of the important markets, expect the new Lamborghini Huracan Spyder RWD to be launched here in the next few months.
