When talking about super manufacturers with iconic legacy, Lamborghini often comes up at the top. It is one of the most iconic and celebrated supercar companies in the world. Apart from all the limited runs like Centenario, Sian, Reventon, Veneno and the likes, Aventador has been the flagship for the brand.

Lamborghini Revuelto – The Y Design

Since 2011, Aventador has offered impeccable performance. Fast forwarding to 2023, it now has a replacement in the form of Lamborghini Revuelto. It is a hybrid supercar with a roaring V12, and three electric motors for a combined 1000+ bhp. It looks wild, it is wild, packs in new tech pays homage to Aventoador and much more. Let’s take a look.

If you haven’t caught it yet, we would like to point out a ton of Y-shaped elements on Revuelto. LED DRLs, tail lights, side body panels, interiors, and a lot more places. This is in keeping with Sian too. At first glance, it maintains the stance and overall proportions of Aventador, even though almost every inch of it is brand new.

On the inside, there is a 12.3” instrument cluster, an 8.4” portrait-style display for infotainment and a third 9.1” display for the passenger (co-pilot, in Lamborghini’s terms). Lamborghini is offering 70 different colours choices for interiors. On the outside, Lamborghini Revuelto is just as edgy as before with inspirations from aerospace elements.

There are innumerous aero trickery in place by Lamborghini and is likely to have an effect on top speed, which is 217 mph (350 km/h). There is a new carbon fiber tub and most of its body panels are crafted from the same material as well. Carrying Lamborghini Aventador’s tradition (started with Countach), Revuelto gets scissor doors, popularly known as “Lamborghini doors”.

Powertrain – The Game Of Numbers

If you think the 350 km/h top speed is an impressive number, you’re barely even getting started. The talking point of Lamborghini Revuelto is its 6.5L NA V12 monster of an engine with 813 bhp of power at 9250 RPM and 725 Nm of torque. If that is somehow not enough for prospective buyers, Lamborghini has added three electric motors which take the total power figure to 1000.7 bhp.

Putting all this power to the ground is an 8-speed DCT. Yeah! About time, right? Lamborghini had refrained from offering a DCT in Aventador citing added weight. In slow city traffic, handling Aventador was much more troublesome than a Huracan which got a DCT. The battery is just 3.8 kWh in size and is rated to travel 9.6 km in pure EV mode.

Couple all that with 13 driving modes and 265/30-21s front and 355/25-22s rear Bridgestone Potenza Sport tyres, Lamborghini Revuelto can sprint to 100 km/h in just 2.5 seconds. It might not be as quick as the recently launched Dodge Challenger SRT Demon 170 with 0-96.5 km/h in just 1.66 seconds. But, a Lamborghini is a mid-engined supercar that will blitz the Demon 170 on a race track. Pricing for Lamborghini Revuento is not yet revealed. Expect India launch to be announced in coming months.
