Narendra Mehta, an MLA residing in Mumbai, shared a photo of a brand new Lamborghini Huracan on his social media profile, saying that it was a gift to his wife, Suman.
The photo showed Suman Mehta, and the Arancio Borealis (commonly referred to as ‘Orange’) coloured Huracan. About 30 minutes later, Suman crashed the brand new Lamborghini Huracan into a rickshaw. The incident was caught on camera and can be seen below.
Speaking to media post the incident, Mr Mehta revealed that no one was injured in the incident. The rickshaw which was damaged, will be fixed and the owner of the rickshaw be compensated for his loss.
When asked whether Suman knew how to drive such a powerful car, Mr Mehta said that his wife is a very good driver with over 18 years of driving experience. He added that she has driven all kinds of imported cars from Audi to Mercedes and is well acquainted to driving such cars.
The accident occurred when Suman took the car out for her first spin. She managed to get out of the Seven Eleven Academy (a school run by the Mehta’s) gate, but crashed the car into a parked rickshaw immediately after that. It seems that she was not able to turn the car in time or did not expect the sudden acceleration of the car to be so brutal.
Mr Mehta who was inside the premises of the school, ran to the accident spot. He paid off the driver of the rickshaw on the spot, because of which no police case was filed. The Lamborghini Huracan is not even registered and does not carry a license plate. The crashed Lambo is now sitting inside the school’s premises.
Lamborghini Huracan is powered by a 5.2 liter V10 which delivers 610 hp and 560 Nm. It does a 0-100 kmph in just 3.2 seconds and has a top speed of 325 kmph. If an inexperienced driver is behind the wheel of such a car, not only it is dangerous for the driver, but also people on the road. Drive safe.
