Lamborghini Terzo Millennio electric sports car concept unveiled

Lamborghini Terzo Millennio is an electric concept car designed for the third millennium.

Lamborghini Terzo Millennio electric concept is on display at the Geneva Motor Show being held from 8-18 March 2018 for viewers but it was earlier also previewed at EmTech, Massachusetts Institute of Technology’s in-house tech conference. Lamborghini Terzo Millennio can be seen in a futuristic design. It boasts of an ultra lightweight body structure, an aerodynamic exterior and an advanced electric powertrain.

Lamborghini has stated that the concept will go through much change before its final product. It will be seen in a special carbon fiber makeup which is in the development stages at Lamborghini and MIT that can effectively heal itself.

The car will also monitor itself and note for any signs of damage or crack and micro channels will be filled with healing chemicals to repair a faulty panel or component.

In terms of powertrain options, the Lamborghini Terzo Millennio electric concept will be powered by 4 electric motors powered by supercapacitors and energy storage devices located on body panels.

To achieve this, the batteries are ultra thin and shaped so as to be sandwiched in between two panels. No details of charging and time factors have been revealed as on date but Lamborghini promises fast charging along with advanced kinetic energy regeneration system.

Still in concept format there is no disclosure of when or if this car will be entering production.
