Mitsubishi opens order books for Lancer Evo X Final Edition, only 1,000 units on offer

In an interview with Motoring Australia, Tony Principe, Marketing Head of Mitsubishi Australia, revealed that a facelift variant is in works which will be launched by end of 2015.

Price starts from 4.3 million yen (about Rs 22.47 lakh).

Final Edition of Lancer Evo X will be limited to just 1000 units. To make matters more difficult for fans, and prospective buyers, each of these 1,000 units is exclusive for Japan. The Final Edition is priced at 4.3 million yen, ($35,800, INR 22,33,757) with deliveries by August this year.

Mitsubishi’s final edition of Lancer Evol X which has been on sale since 2007 will be based on the Evo-GSR. The car receives a black chrome grille, sits on 18” BBS wheels and boasts of Bilstein and Eibach suspension accents and Brembo brakes.

Mitsubishi Lancer Evo X Final Edition exteriors will be in five color options of red, grey, black, blue and white while buyers can opt for white or black contrasting roofs. Interiors sport black leather Recaro accents and red accents with a numbered dash plaque displaying its model number and ‘Final Edition’ badging. Interiors also sport Recaro leather on its steering wheel, shift knob and brake handle in matching colors.

Mitsubishi Lancer Evo X Final Edition on display at the Tokyo Motor Show in December 2014, is powered by a 2.0 liter MIVEC turbo petrol engine offering peak power of 291 hp and peak torque of 300 lb/ft. The engine is mated to a five speed manual transmission and an all-wheel drive system.

Limited to just 1,000 units the Final Edition will only be on offer in Japan while the company is expected to reveal a similarly exclusive US spec Final Edition next summer.
