Land Rover Defender 6×6 Concept by Kahn Design, for Geneva Show

Starting next week at Geneva Motor Show, Kahn Design will display a six-wheeled Land Rover Defender. It is dubbed the Flying Huntsman 110 WB 6×6 Concept, as it is a coach-built concept based on the Land Rover Defender 110. Through this, Kahn Design envisions a rival for the ultimate six-wheeler, Mercedes-Benz G63 AMG 6×6.

To make the Land Rover Defender 6×6 Concept, Kahn Design had to extend the hood by 400 mm, pull the rear cabin by 800 mm and augment the width of the SUV by 150 mm.

Powering the unique Defender model is a 6.2 litre LS3 V8 General Motors engine, dishing out an estimated max power of 430 bhp, linked to 6-speed automatic transmission. The drivetrain will feature hi-lo ratio drive system with locking differentials, which will be complimented by enhanced suspension & braking systems, to squeeze the last drop of fun from the six-wheeled Defender. The capabilities of the modified Land Rover SUV will be further upgraded by heavy-duty chassis, with option to equip armour plating in compliance with required standards like B4, B6, B6+ or B7.

The six-wheeled Land Rover Defender concept could be put into limited production, according to Kahn Design. In that case, the model will be offered in five variants, including four- and six-wheel configurations, in hard top and pickup body types.
