Yamaha RX100 and R15 inspired RX15 concept by Autologue design

Pune based automobile customization specialists, Autologue Design have created a new Yamaha concept, christened RX15. This neo retro motorcycle, combines the mechanics of the Yamaha R15 with the RX100. It is a one off product design created by Autologue Design, created to give their customers an idea about their work.

Autologue Design has merged the Yamaha R15 and RX100 to create a new concept motorcycle called RX15. It gets its mechanics from the Yamaha YZF-R15 and design elements from the RX100 to create a unique style. The RX15 gets a new headlamp with chrome surrounds, orange covers on indicators and chrome housing borrowed from the RX100. It sports a retro instrument cluster while chrome accents are seen on the fuel tank which gets distinctive Yamaha logos on either side while side panels sport an RX15 logo.

Yamaha RX15 concept (above) is created on a Deltabox frame from the YZF-R15 while the sub frame is modified. The seat sports a clean design and number plate is positioned on the tyre hugger even as the new RX15 rides on wire spoke wheel to enhance its retro styling.

No changes to mechanics means that the RX15 continues to be powered by the same engine as seen on the Yamaha YZF-R15 to includes a 149.0cc, single cylinder, liquid cooled engine offering 16.7 bhp power at 8,500 rpm and 15 Nm torque at 7,500 rpm. The redesigned bike sports disc brakes at both ends with suspension via upside down fork in the front and monoshock at the rear.

It may be remembered that Autologue Design was also instrumental in the creating of the Yamaha RD-3, a combination of the RD350 and YZF-R3, seen above. The customization specialists also recently restored an old Yezdi CLII to its former showroom glory while there is also a KTM 390 Xplorer kit designed by Autologue Design.

The design firm has also created touring body kits for the KTM Duke 250 and a similar kit made for the Duke 200 which shares design cues from the older Duke 390. However, Autologue Design , a firm launched in 2013 by Mukul Nanda and Indian Cricketer Yuvraj Singh, only makes changes to the aesthetics of the motorcycle with the mechanics staying intact.
