20 year old Li Zhi Cong will be seen racing for Asia Racing Team for 2013 GT Asia Series title. After experiencing success during the 2012 season and getting on podium 9 times with 3 wins at Sepang, Suzuka and Macau, the racer will go ahead to display his racing talent for the 2nd year in a row. The former rookie will drive a Porsche 911 GT3 R
This second season will see Cong participating will be driving in a Porsche 911 GT3 R. The season for the first time begins in Japan at the Motegi Circuit. Then on, the series will be seen at the Okayama and Fuji Circuits and will later move on to Malaysia for Round 7 and 8 to be held in Sepang. Back in China thereafter, the series will conclude with championships during the main race weekend at Guia Circuit from 14-17 November, 2013 for the Macau Grand Prix. Cong is eagerly looking forward to participation and continuing with Asia Racing Team for his second year. The competition promises to be challenging as it will involve many professional drivers, but Cong is not deterred and is determined to win the 2013 championships.
Li Zhi Cong said, “I’m really looking forward to staying with Asia Racing Team for my second year in GT Asia Series. The competition will be fierce with the arrival of many pro drivers but my goal for the season is to win the 2013 championship. I have a great team around me at Asia Racing Team who I believe can help me to achieve this ambition.”
