The Irishman thanked Ferrari World for the gesture, and humbly says ‘There really was no need.’ The story unfolded earlier this week. He took a taxi from Dubai to Abu Dhabi to visit the theme park, which opened to public at the end of 2010. The Indian taxi driver Shakiha who made the trip with him has been living and working in Dubai for the past 14 years.
As expected, he hadn’t ever stepped foot inside Ferrari World. In keeping with normal practice, Shakiha was going to wait in the car for 4 hours. Murphy didn’t see much sense in that, and in good jest chose to do the sensible thing.
He bought tickets for himself and Shakiha. It was a dream come true for the driver who has spent a considerable part of life overseas to earn enough for his family back home. The experience as expected wasn’t devoid of laughter. Shakiha offered to do the best he could, ‘I will pray to God for you sir.’
Imagine your first ever roller coaster ride being the fastest in the world. Shakiha may have been a bit shaken though saying “I do not feel well sir”. The rest as we know, is history. This is one kind act that has brought much cheer.
