Magna AWD for Mercedes-Benz GLA, A45 AMG and CLA

ProActive Rear Drive Module

Magna Powertrain, leaders in four-wheel/all-wheel-drive systems is supplying the ProActive Rear Drive Module all-wheel-drive (AWD) system for new Mercedes-Benz GLA compact SUV, A45 AMG and CLA.

ProActive Rear Drive Module Mercedes-Benz GLA and CLA are both scheduled for launch in India. Magna’s ProActive Rear Drive Module is designed as a platform solution for C-segment vehicles with optimum results for AWD coupling and rear axle drive.

ProActive’s fully integrated system enhances vehicle performance in terms of drag, torque, system efficiency and weight. Magna, Mercedes-Benz supplier partner are confident of Proactive’s performance enhancements adding value to this vehicle segment across Mercedes-Benz’ global platform.

Magna Powertrain and Daimler have jointly developed the AWD system. Magna Powertrain has developed the Rear axle drive and AWD coupling , and Daimler is in charge vehicle integration.
