Indian Railways’ Maharaja Express gets 7 Star Rating – World’s most luxurious train

Maharaja Express, the world’s most luxurious train, owned and operated by Indian Railways Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) has been awarded “Signum Virtutis” – seal of excellence, 2016 Seven Star Luxury Hospitality and Lifestyle Award. The award was presented at Marbella in Spain which was held at the Villa Padierna Hotel and adds to a host of other such awards presented to the Maharaja Express in the past.

The epitome of excellence, luxury, and opulence, offering travelers the life of regal India, Maharaja Express is a 23 coach train that runs across 5 routes in the country. Travelers are given a choice of 7 Nights/8 Days or 3 Nights/4 Days plans and it covers places such as Agra, Jaipur, Ranthambore, Bikaner, Jodhpur, Udaipur, Balasinor, Ajanta, Gwalior, Khajuraho, Varanasi and Lucknow.

Maharaja Express a train cum hotel, spells luxury par excellence. It boasts of the most spectacular of interiors, taking passengers back to the era of the maharajas. It offers top rated cuisines from across the country and state of the art hospitality. While food is served in the best of Limoges plates and gold and silver plated cutlery, wine is served at the Safari Bar in imported hand cut crystal glasses.
