Mahindra Two Wheeler’s new 110 cc scooter will be lighter and fuel efficient. To be launched just ahead of the festive season, in second week of August, the new Mahindra scooter will mark their entry into the 110cc segment of automatic scooters. Led by Honda Activa, the 110cc segment sees the most number of two wheeler sales in the automatic category. With new 110cc scooter, Mahindra aims to improve their reach to a wider group of buyers across India.
This new Mahindra scooter will compete with Honda Activa, Yamaha Ray, Alpha, Suzuki Let’s, TVS Wego and Jupiter in the segment. Not much is known about the design, but spy shots have revealed that Mahindra has borrowed some characteristics from now defunct models like Kinetic Blaze. Especially the V shaped headlight design and slits on its front apron, reminds of Kinetic Blaze.
Other features on offer include analogue instrument cluster, telescopic front forks, MRF Nylogrip tubeless tyres, broader seats and a flat foot board for additional rider comforts. The scooter will receive a 110cc single cylinder engine offering 8 PS peak power and 8.5 Nm peak torque mated to a CVT. Claiming fuel efficiency of over 60 kmpl, the 110cc scooter price will be less than INR 50,000 mark.
