During the month of September 2015, India’s third largest passenger vehicle manufacturer, Mahindra has registered sales of 19,564 units in the PV segment, in the CV segment the company sold 14,430 (LCV + MHCV), while in the three wheeler segment, the company sold 5,699 units.
When we compare these figures with the figures posted in September 2014, it is revealed that Mahindra posted a decline of 7% in the PV segment, decline of 5% in the CV segment (LCV + MHCV) and a decline of 7% in the three wheeler segment.
The company’s overall sales (including exports) stood at 42,848 units for September 2015, a decline of 5% as against 44,911 units sold in the same month last year. The green part of their sales report was seen in exports. Mahindra exported 3,155 vehicles last month, 26% more than what they exported in Sep 2014.

Speaking about Mahindra Tractors, a total of 18,087 units (domestic + export) were sold during September 2015. As compared to Sep 2014 figures (28,739 units), this is a decline of 37%. In the domestic market, the tractor sales figures stood at 17,052 units for Sep 2015, as against 27,321 units sold in Sep 2014, registering a decline of a massive 38%.

Mahindra is expecting to get a boost in passenger car sales, thanks to the launch of new TUV300. The new sub 4 meter SUV takes on the likes of Ford EcoSport and Renault Duster. Apart from this, Mahindra is also getting ready to launch their first petrol powered SUV, S101 later this year.
