The Mahindra Big Bolero Pik-Up has been launched at INR 6.15 lakhs for the BS-III 1.25T variant and INR 6.30 lakhs for the BS-IV 1.25T variant (both prices are ex-showroom, Pune). The Big Bolero Pik-Up is essentially a heavily updated version of the existing load carrier with a larger loading bay, revised styling, and better interior.
The enhancements, both cosmetic and mechanical, have been derived from the brisk selling Bolero passenger variant. The headlamps, grilleĀ and bumper have been revised in line with the passenger sibling. Rest of the design has been retained.
Inside, the Big Bolero Pik-Up features chunky steering wheel and modern dual-tone dashboard that also have been derived from the current version of the passenger variant. The reclinable seats are aimed at attractive self-driving customers.
The LCV also receives beefed up leaf-spring suspension system in addition to enhanced body and chassis which take the payload capacity to 1,500 kg (1.25 T variant is also available). The pickup is available with a 2.5-litre diesel engine in two avatars – a 70 hp BS4 and a 63 hp BS3.
Other noteworthy features include 7.00 R15 12 PR and 10 PR tyres, 9 feet long cargo body and a top speed of 110 kmph (80 kmph limiter available). The vehicle is claimed to return a fuel efficiency of 13 kmpl.
The Mahindra Big Bolero Pik-Up is offered with a unique Udhay ownership scheme which included free accidental insurance of 10 lakhs, discounts on spare parts and labor, and a referral scheme. Prices of the 1.5T variant have not been announced yet.
