Mahindra Truck and Bus (MTB) is now concentrating its efforts around the launch of its BSVI product range. 80 percent of parts remain the same as seen on the current BSIV range. MTB Blazo X 49 Rigid MAV truck has ben launched in the 16-wheeler category.
The company states its Mahindra Blazo range offers segment leading mileage. The product range is currently selling at a premium when compared to competition. As on date, there are more than 26k Blazos on Indian roads.
The company attributes this success to mileage efficiency, and low ownership cost owing to increased oil change intervals, reduced oil cost and a class leading 6 years / 6 Lakh kms transferable warranty.
MTB has recently entered the ICV (Intermediate Commercial Vehicle) segment with Furio, and is now the 4th player in 12 tonne and 14 tonne segments. 3 more variants have ben added to the product portfolio. Over time, 18 more Furio BSVI compliant variants will be launched in the ICV segment from 5 to 18 tonne.
MTB has positioned itself as the 3 player in haulage segment (Multi Axle Vehicle + Tractor Trailer) in H1 FY20 across major markets. MTBD is keen on introducing a simplified BSVI experience to customers. Blazo X is available with minimum change to facilitate a hassle-free switch to BSVI.
