A Mahindra dealer in Calicut, Kerala, has come up with a one-off modified Bolero to attract off-road enthusiasts on a budget. The modified Mahindra Bolero is based on the top-end ZLX variant.
Modifiers have stripped off the bumpers and replaced them with basic metallic elements to improve the approach and departure angles. It also gets a winch mount upfront.
The kitted up Bolero sits on new black finished wheels that are wrapped in chunky Maxxis Bravo tyres off-road tyres. The SUV is spruced up further by means of side body decals, black finished foot board, and black wheel arch extensions to complement wider tyres. Thanks to the modifications, SUV has a rugged and raw appeal.
The cars interior doesn’t seem to have adopted any enhancements. The mechanicals too appear to be intact. The Bolero ZLX is powered by the 2.5-litre four-cylinder common-rail direct injection diesel engine which is paired to a 5-speed manual transmission to produce a modest 63 PS and 195 Nm of torque.
While this modified Mahindra Bolero may not match the capabilities (lacks 4×4) of dedicated off-roaders like its sibling Mahindra Thar, it does looks capable enough to take you on a fun-filled joy ride off the tarmac.
