Mahindra Bolero Power+ set to stir up sales in rural and semi rural areas

Mahindra and Mahindra launched the new Bolero Power+, a sub 4 meter utility vehicle at INR 6.59 lakhs. Offered in three variants – SLE, SLX and ZLX, the company is also seeking to accelerate sales via regional launches across the country.

Set to reach out to the rural markets in India, Mahindra and Mahindra looks ahead at the upcoming festive season to note positive response to the new Bolero Power+. Bookings of the Mahindra Bolero Power+ are open and the company has built up an inventory of its entire vehicle lineup that also includes the Bolero Power+ so as to effect timely deliveries during this auspicious period.

The new sub 4 meter SUV receives an mHawk D70 diesel engine also seen powering the Mahindra TUV300 and NuvoSport. This engine promises 13% more power and 5% more mileage over the existing Bolero range. The company has also reduced overall weight thus ensuring better fuel efficiency and enhanced maneuverability. It is offered in color options of Java Brown, Rocky Beige, Silver and Diamond White.

In addition to their regular sales and marketing plans, Mahindra has launched Mahindra Mitra Program. It is a new sales strategy designed by Mahindra and Mahindra to target rural areas in India. It has seen positive results over the past few months scaling 800-1000 tehsils in India.

The company further targets around 3,000 tehsils in India and have plans to expand sales in these regions over the next year while increased touch points have been set up to cater to the demands in these regions. As of today, the company has a network of 1,650 dealers across India.

Speaking about the old Bolero, Mahindra says that they will take a call about discontinuing old Bolero depending on how the market reacts to the new Bolero. As of now both, old and new Bolero are on sale across India.
