Exciting Mahindra cars at 2016 Auto Expo

Mahindra and Mahindra, leading utility vehicle makers in the country have revealed exciting new cars and concepts at the recently concluded 2016 Auto Expo. We take a look at each of them in brief.

Mahindra XUV Aero

The showstopper for Mahindra during the 2016 Auto Expo has to be their XUV Aero Concept SUV. Showcased to gauge public interest, the coupe-styled concept has managed to attract attention of enthusiasts, media and visitors alike. Two doors on the passengers side, and one on the driver side, 210 hp engine, 0-60 on less than 6 seconds, all four disc brakes with red callipers, huge touchscreen display on center console like seen on XC90, individual entertainment options for rear passengers, and much more. If this car does get launched, it is expected to be in the range of INR 20 lakh.

Mahindra KUV100 Xplorer Edition

Mahindra TUV300 Endurance Edition

Mahindra TUV300 Endurance was also on display at the Mahindra pavilion and was seen in a new shade of matte grey and black plastic cladding. No mechanical changes were evident while a new spare wheel at the rear, grey panels on sides and new front grille were evident. It was on display alongside the Thar DayBreak edition.

SsangYong Tivoli

Mahindra SsangYong Tivoli compact SUV made its debut at the 2016 Auto Expo borrowing design inspiration from SsangYong XIV-Adventure concept. Set for launch later this year, the new Tivoli will receive 1.6-liter petrol and diesel engines. It will rival the likes of Hyundai Creta, Renault Duster, and Nissan Terrano.

Mahindra eVerito

Mahindra eVerito, an electric version of the Verito sedan is powered by a 72 V 3 phase AC electric motor offering 41 bhp power and 91 Nm torque. Ideally for use for commercial purposes, the eVerito was also on display at the 2014 Auto Expo.

Mahindra e2o Sport

Mahindra e2o Sport Concept is seen in a new custom livery of yellow, black and red with racing decals. It has a new bumper in the front and rear, with floating roof spoiler, faux carbon fiber side sills and ORVMs, sports seats and a roll cage.

Mahindra Thar Daybreak Edition

Mahindra Thar Daybreak Edition has been designed by Mahindra’s in-house customization team called Mahindra Personalization. Large off-road tyres are the talking point of this mod-job.
