Mahindra Jeeto, Imperio get DiGiSENSE connected vehicle platform

Mahindra is the first Indian OEM to integrate its product line-up onto a cloud-based tech platform. DiGiSENSE enables access to vital vehicle on real-time basis from anywhere at any time.

Dr. Pawan Goenka, Executive Director, Mahindra says digitization is a key differentiator in business transformation and connected vehicle technology is an imp aspect. The multi-application and multi-product enabled DiGiSENSE 1.0 adopts technology to develop new ecosystems.

Rajan Wadhera, President and Chief Executive – Truck, Power Train Division and Head – MRV, Mahindra says staying connected is a basic necessity for fleet owners to improve productivity. DiGiSENSE is a modular, scalable, flexible, robust, connected and open-architecture vehicle platform that will be upgraded on a regular basis.

DiGiSENSE is initially available in Jeeto and Imperio small commercial vehicles, Arjun Novo tractor, Mahindra Blazo HCV, and Earthmaster construction equipment. DiGiSENSE is available as a subscription-based service and will later be available across Mahindra’s vehicle range (including two-wheelers and passenger vehicles). Through DiGiSENSE, a customer owning different Mahindra vehicles will have the same user experience with individual and unique customizations.

Mahindra has created a platform for its technology partners: cloud service provider, map provider, telecom network provider, hardware manufacturer and other third parties. The three major partners are Tech Mahindra, Vodafone and Bosch India.

Mahindra DiGiSense customers will be upgraded to latest versions of the software over the air, similar to software upgrades on mobile phones. DiGiSENSE features route planning and delivery tracking, vehicle utilization reports, trip optimization, alerts and machine hour operations, and geo-fencing.

As of now, Mahindra DiGiSense is on offer with some of Mahindra’s heavy commercial vehicles and with Jeeto and Imperio. For Jeeto, price of device is kept at INR 5,000, while for Imperio price of device is INR 6,000. Along with each purchase, buyers will also get 1 year subscription to Mahindra DiGiSense free. Post that, there will be monthly payment for DiGiSense services.
