Mahindra Electric has launched a new smartphone application called NEMO Life for electric vehicles in India. NEMO – NExt-generation MObile applications coincides with the completion of 100 million (10 crore) kms done by Mahindra electric vehicles on Indian roads.
This new smartphone mobile application will allow user to gain access to all the information they require about their electric vehicles. NEMO is a cloud based platform, offering shared and connected services and can be downloaded free of cost on both Android and iOS platforms. NEMO App sees several first in segment features, with the aim of making mobility – Clean, Connected and Convenient.
NEMO Life application offers the best in connected electric mobility. It includes charging cycle, real time driving data and voice controls among others. The fact that Mahindra electric vehicles have completed 100 million e-kms (which is equal to going around the earth 2,500 times) has resulted in saving over 11,000 metric tonnes of CO2 emissions in the country. This in turn has helped save over 5 lakh trees that absorb these harmful emissions.
A notable fact is that the first 50 million ekms were completed by Mahindra Electric in four years while the next 50 million ekms were achieved in less than two years. There are thousands of Mahindra EV owners in India who are happy to have turned on the greener side. Watch Mr Ranjan Ray, who completed 1 lakh kms on his e2o by using just Rs 70,000 worth of electricity, talk about his experience in the video below.
It is on the basis of these findings that new NEMO Life application has been designed which will offer personal car users the best in connected electric mobility. NEMO app can be used by owners of the Mahindra e2oPlus, eVerito sedan and eSupro mini-van apart from the Mahindra Treo range of 3 wheelers.
Under NEMO brand, Mahindra Electric also has the NEMO Driver and NEMO Commuter mobile apps along with NEMO integrated Mobility Center for fleet customers. NEMO Life will aid personal electric car owners to circumvent barriers such as range anxiety, battery performance and multiple user management.
Mahindra Electric gears up for the launch of all electric XUV300, to add to its clean energy vehicle portfolio, along with KUV 100 EV and eVerito. XUV300 electric will measure less than 4 meters in length. Exact date of launch has not yet been confirmed, but mid 2020 is what is speculated.
